i can't figure out why so many people don't post any recordings on their pages. is it just that they are so good that its not necessary? i would just think thaT if you'd played for thirty years and done 200 gigs that you'd know how to hit the record button.

I like that actually. It lets me know right away that a person lacks the TRUE motivation and desire necessary to be in my band.

Reminds me of a contractor I used to work for, he called em 'newspaper carpenters', they'd show up with shiny new black & decker saw, I got 25 years experience blah, blah, blah. They way they'd talk you'd think they were Bob Vila himself. 9 out of 10 were complete idiots and the one maybe a half decent helper.

yea, that reminds me of this dude that said he knew how to build steel buildings.... when we were drinking. so i set up a job. bid it, sold it, ordered the slab, had the materials ready to be shipped...that's when he confessed that he didn't exactly know how to do it...but had seen it done before.

I have some recorded stuff but i used my digitech gnx 3000 to record it and i cant do anything with it. i'm new to the recording world jsut got really serios about playing about 8 months ago. What is some good software to use for recording to computer. i was thinking about upgrading to the line 6 set up.

i use mixcraft from acoustica.com. it makes everything really easy. i use the older version (2.5 v) instead of 4, which seems to want to do things automated. the older version just makes more sense to me.

Crips a baddass, trust me
This comes up all the time on here. Nobody wants to respect someone cause they dont post audio. The 2 or 3 people I met on here that have some decent audio up sucked when I met them. Made me wonder if it was really them or not. The other couple of people I met who had no audio up happen to be awesome players.
To each his own.
This is a good place to put audio to have other people critic it, but I dont think it means a hill of beans either way.
You can either play or you cant.

I'm fast....I'm slow... I'm a helluva lot more disciplined than I was over 20 years ago.... Here's a real crappy vid done in my basement while I was auditioning my bassist, Scott... he passed... My little boy who has Cerebral Palsy decided to do vocals cause my freakin' singer canceled out... but our recordings always sound god-awful and that's why I don't post them up cause it don't do us justice!

I'm using a real cheap $199.00 epiphone also... but it was fun!

all you guys are really good. ha ha hey i just signed the bottom line on my kid getting braces on her teeth...and the dream guitar slips through my fingers again...the proverbial carrot just in front of me, always out of reach. but on a lighter note...they left me enough cash to buy a poster of slash playing it. ha ha ha!
