For me it's Pat Bentar. Only really in the spotlight for a short run in the 80's yet several of her songs can make the hair on my arms stand up.

"Promises in the Dark" is freekin awesome.

Joe Walsh..

I hear he can't even give away his new album to be produced by even the oddest of producers..

I agree w/the Cap? Fer crissake what's wrong with the world?

I liked Benatar until she blew out her voice with the cocaine, then I lost all respect.

I was really referring to famous folks, who weren't necessarily one hit wonders, but who never really got the true kudos they deserved.

A band that comes to mind also from the 80's was the Fixx, I thought their music was revolutionary, but most saw them as a passing phase.

Peter Frampton. Everybody over thirty probably know who he is but I dont think he really got his due respect as a guitarist. Am I wrong?

LOVED the Fixx!!! They just played down in DC, & I missed it!

They never made it big here, maybe, but they were huge in Australia, from whence they came, I do believe.

I'd add Phish, one of my faves. I just wish they'd taken their lyrics more seriously.

Yes, sans, you are wrong.

J/k...although he DID get plenty of kudos, esp as he aged, for some reason.

I got hooked on The Fixx after I got in a cover band in the 80's and had to learn to play and sing "One Thing Leads To Another". I have five of thir albums,(my favorite is "Phantom Living"). Cy Cernin Is one of my favorite singers. I like their more obscure material better then their "hits".

What the hell is that country song that starts off like Werewolves of London & schmoozes its way into Sweet Home Alabama? I HATE that thing! Whoever that moron is, he has no creativity to call his own, I guess.

I liked Warren a lot & that thing is prolly making him spin in his grave like a top.

John 5, that man should be a household name....3, i repeat 3 solo albums and the man is a monster. I fear the greatest guitar player of all time. Look at his record, who has he not worked with. And for not much credit.
