Christian musicians and singers

I don't understand this whole thing.
I found a great singer.
Her voice was perfect for my music.
She had songs posted that sounded like my own stuff.
She liked the same kind of music as me.
She had experience gigging.
She wanted to work closely with an experienced guitarist, she had high standards, she asked for commitment, and was ready, willing and able to record high quality recordings . . .
We were a PERFECT match.
.
But she said she couldn't work with me because I didn't devote my life to Jesus.
Aw, man!!!
That's downright offensive. I thought religious people were supposed to be tolerant of others?
This 'holier-than thou' stuff . . .
. . . grrr . . .
I'm gonna bite my tongue; I don't understand this whole intolerance thing.
This kind of thing is what turns me away from religion in the first place . . .

I'm a Christian, and I personally don't understand her reasoning...I mean, Christians aren't supposed to run away from unbelievers...They're supposed to stick around even if they don't agree with your views completely so they can kind of be a witness to you...
Sorry that happened, and I hope you find someone better.

Sorry RM she,s missing the whole point of being a Christian and a musician. I could understand if your music was screaming F this and F that or talkin bout killing cops or sodomising women. I just dont see that coming from you. I could also understand her picking and choosing what lyrical content she would sing, after all a lot of vocalist do that for various reasons.
She may just be making excuses because she is afeared, to commit herself.
If you like, and still have contact, give her my E mail, hell I'll be glad to set her straight as to what her mission really is.
I pitty her short sightedness, I would love a chance to work with someone as talented as you are.

Sounds like a flake to me, RM. You're better off without her, no matter how good she may be.

It's funny how Philby can say the same thing I did in ten words or less.

doode man, you went about this the wrong way..
I'm willing to be you are devoted to Him.
You should have reminded the young lass that you call on His name everyday..
'Jesus I'm hungry'
Jesus I'm dying for a Guinness..'
Jesus she's stacked..'

Give her a good solid pimp slap, then tell her Jesus told you to do it, and see if she has a problem with that. Test that faith of hers.

Sans, you said ' . . . If you like, and still have contact, give her my E mail, hell I'll be glad to set her straight as to what her mission really is. . . ."
.
Yeah, I have her as a myspace friend, and I also have her personal email address.
But to release either, or even to identify her - would be a breach of trust.
.
Ha; even though I'm not a practicing Christian, I think I am more forgiving than she is . . .
.
She was actually nice about it; and I do believe her only reason was the whole Jesus thing . . .
