That doesn't even approach 'rude'.
Dial it down a notch.

I don't know who you were talking to, but the bandmix members I know wouldn't talk like that. You have a great voice...Just keep up the good work, and don't let people get you down.

Dude...sorry if I insulted you, as that was not my intention. I was teasing a little, but don't take it personally, I do it to everyone. Welcome to BM.

Hope things go well for you.

As far as the music is concerned, I was saying that it took too long for your vocals to come on, & I stand by that.

Gimme a little credit, though...I DID compliment your voice, & said I would hire you in a second.

Peace, love, & frisbee, man.

jeez...

we critique each other. It helps us get better. Don't expect a big career if you can't handle a lttle bit of criticism...

ERM . . .

Mr. James. I am retiring in five years and hope to move to Britain or France. I'm rehearsing a solo acoustic act and am trying to cultivate some sort of support network abroad to help with the transition. Would you be interested in lending a hand - or can you point me in the right direction?

Pshh whatever.
I suggested something. You don't have to even read it if you don't feel like it.

Oh, & by the way...I did say that I've been to a gay bar, & yes, I have, & more than once, too...I'm not ashamed to say it, either. It was like stepping into a Salvadore Dali painting for this straight guy, as in sorta surreal, but I like seeing ppl have fun, & they certainly did that there! Lotsa dancing & laughing & joking. Had a good time until I went out into the parking lot & heard a passing car hollering at ME for being an effing queer, & then had to dodge a flying beer bottle, too.

I was with my wife at the time, too. ( I never go into a bar where my wife can't protect me!) Kinda pissed me off. Never went back after that.

Yeah, I can see how you'd get your butt up on your shoulders when someone says something that sounds derogatory about you & your friends & lovers & your lifestyle. But I think I may have given you the wrong impression, man. I'm very open-minded about personal choices, even if I occasionally sound like a bigotted, chauvenistic, chaw-chewin', anti-liberal, big mouth, beer drinkin', poop-kickin', closed minded, techno-hatin', wife-beatin', fat head redneck.

It's all in fun, so don't hate me cuz I'm beautiful, k? :D

Deep breaths, Andy. It's okay. No need to be on the defense. We don't hate you here. We're mostly about the music. We like your voice, too. (Look at me trying to be the "Gay Whisperer!" C'mon, man - that one was kinda funny, no? Would it be better if I'd said "Brit Whisperer?" No, it just doesn't have the same "kick." Nasty thing, humor. I laugh at myself all the time, so I figure it's okay to laugh at others too, & I do try to be gentle about it...is that so wrong?) Really, I do like your voice, to finally get back on topic. Don't let this "bad boy of folk" ruin your whole day.

As far as the techno goes, I'm glad to see you're pro enough to get paid for session work. That sorta sound, for me, is just way way down on my list of faves, & not because of the gay bar affiliation. I just don't find it to be all that creative, from the little I've heard. I talk about rap the same way. Sorry if that offends, too, but it comes down to personal preference, & no one controls what I like. Not even me. But it's cool if that's what you're into. I'd still like to hear something else you have in your library of personal accomplishments.

So put up some of that opera, or rock or emo or celtic folk stuff or whatever else you have, & we can critique it, too. Or, if you prefer, you can go to my profile & publicly blast my stuff, if you like, unless for some strange reason you find something worthwhile in it. It's all good, man. No one's gonna be trying to hurt you or anyone else here, unless you ask for it. Do remember that. Sometimes stuff happens, & it's usually best to just let it slide & get over it, unless it becomes a real problem. I'm not here to be anyone's problem.

Well, I sorta expect that from a texan...my in-laws are texans, too!

Done any fishin' lately sans?

I went by myself the other day & dropped the canoe on my head as I was takin' it off the car. I think I hurt my neck a bit...it hurts to turn to the left. Eh...it'll get better or it won't. Had some nasty pains shooting all over the place that night, but it seems to have cut back quite alot since, thank the stars. Skeered me a bit that night, but I think the worst is past.

I did catch me some nice fish, though, in spite of it all. 2 perch & 4 big sunnies & a largemouth right at the end, not counting the throw-backs.

I really am more tollerant than I sound. Being a male Nurse, I have worked with a lot of Gay men. Some I would call friends. If I hated on everyone whom fell short of the Glory of God. I'd have to hate myself the most.
