I've decided today that I need to focus my life on getting myself out of Vegas more than music.

The economy has screwed me over big-time. And I pretty much need to sell my house..

My time here in Vegas is done. It's a complete shit-hole. I'm going to fix up some loose ends around here, pack up my sh*t, and get myself to Phoenix hopefully before the next layoff period hits. My brother lives there in a condo on a golf course, and it kicks ass. All of the people in his neighborhood are extremely nice, and I'm going to look into getting a condo in his complex.

It's going to take some work to get this house ready to be sold. But music is the furthest thing from my mind right now. I'm packing up the gear. It's not like I'm in a band right now anyway.

Damned shame, that. I hope it's just a short time period for you, shredd, & I can totally understand, too.

A person's gotta get work however he can in a crappy economy. I'm looking into getting a "regular job," too, this week, with a solar panel installetion co, & it just sticks in my craw that it's necessary.

The way things are going right now, I really need the work. I hope the upcoming election straightens everything out, but I'm not banking on it.

I've heard Vegas has been one of the fastest growing cities, however it seems to me that with the economy being what it is and the growing energy crisis that Vegas could be one of the hardest hit cities real soon. With most of the Vegas economy based on gambling, entertainment and tourism it's only logical that now might be a good time to go elsewhere. Also sometimes living in a town for a while can get old. A fresh start somewhere else might be the best thing for you. Good luck...

Shredd hang in there man, don't let life kill your enthusiasm for the music, I hear feeling in your songs one day when you are back on your feet (and you will) use the experience as a source for new material.

I wanted to respond earlier, but I've been real sick lately. Plus I'm still selling tube packages to try to pay some bills.

Anyway. Yea if I stay in this thread for too long, it'll turn into a big rant. Since my last post I:

Got real sick, the company Van broke down, I found out I installed the wrong stuff in the wrong house so I've made nothing so far this week, the company has decided not to fix the van, and now I can't work because my truck has no tires. They were stolen 2-weeks ago.

Dare I ask what else can go wrong????

I didn't much care that much for Lost Vegas myself when I was there, so maybe it is time for you to move on to where people can better appreciate your carpentry and musical skills.

I can be broke anywhere. I'd rather be a beach bum than a desert bum. But the most important thing in life is family. I'd be willing to burn to a crisp in the desert if it means being closer to my brother. We're best friends, and it's sad that we live so far apart.
