Pokemon Blue/ Red. Even though its on a gameboy its still pretty Ill.
Final fantasy probably emphasises the beauty in your childhood if you ever played it.

Oh yea I've seen Mario's theme being played on a 12 string before. Tight.
Funny you should mention games' soundtracks.. Remember Doom in the 90s?
The soundtrack was made up of thrash metal and hard rock. They were all "midi" interpretations of MetallicA, Pantera, Alice in Chains and some more. It was a big controversy back then
Oh and since I HATE midis, I hate old games' music..... I did enjoy Final Fantasy a looooong time ago though.

the only song in a video game I ever heard that really floored me was the town theme song from Diablo 1. Amazing acoustic guitar and keyboard combo.

Mario and Zelda still come into my head and of course Pack Man.
From a marketing standpoint its really a great thing to get your music on a video game, cause when kids play the games they hear it over and over again.
One of our local hard rock bands Saliva had some songs on ATV Off Road Fury. I think theyve done ok, but I hear they still dont have any real money just a lot of debt, but that s a whole other story.

Yeah, but after you've played the game long enough to get really good at it, you wanna find the guy that wrote the stuff & choke the living #%@$!%%#$$@ outta him!
I'm glad they let you turn off the music on a lot of them games.
Mario Bros drove me postively nutso. So did Pac Man, & all the rest that I used to play. I think the music's one reason I quit playing them...well...there's these numbish fingers, too. Gotta save 'em for the bass.
