Bassist in east VA looking for instruction
Posted: Mon Jul 10, 2006 5:01 pmI've been playing for about 10 years now, and I'm just starting to get into the virtuoso bassists - Jaco Pastorius, Vic Wooten, etc, and I'd love to find a bassist with some theory and practice in this groove funk/jazz style.
I can play nearly anything I hear, if I listen to it a few times, but I've no head for theory, and I'm trying to teach myself... It's not working so well.
I'm not asking for free help, I'm willing to pay for lessons, but I don't know where to look - the local music stores are completely bare of bassists with this kind of knowledge.
