I would post this in the technical section or the other section but they're both locked! Why the hell am I the only nimrod with a question mark for an avatar??? I don't need tech advice because I've done this a million times... just go to your profile and pick the picture that you want to be the main one and....voila.... it's your avatar..... WELL IT SURE AS $HIT DON'T WORK THAT WAY FOR ME!!!

Well, ya know, Crip, using old John Holmes action pics could possibly be your problem.

I have no idea why it's only you, man. Your avatar comes & goes all the time, & I find it very weird.

I'd have posted the Q to BM, myself, but I seem to be locked out as well.

I’ve lost my picture as well, E mail or call Bandmix hasn’t helped much thus far, I’m at loss as to what to do to remove that red X from my posts.

The weird part is that when clicking on profile the picture is there, it’s only missing in posts.

Avatar anyone?

are you speaking of the forum avatar or the general one? I found that by uploading new pics and "disturbing" the arrangement of them, I lost my forum avatar, had to go into the forum settings to fix it. Happens every time I delete or upload new pics.

Seems like the bmix team wants to dis this site and focus all energy on the bandvista site instead (which frankly, is even less useful in search features, IMO)

Me, too. I had trouble re-setting my main pic. Then when I uploaded another pic, the change I'd attempted earlier took place. There's probably a trick to it.
Try resetting your main pic, then upload another one. If that doesn't work, try scrubbing your bathroom sink and tub. Hope this helps.

Nah, go to:
Account options -- then -- My Features -- then -- Setup Forum Information.
Then click the Update button.
As far as a question mark or red X ? Something gets changed and the path pointing to where the file was at taint valid no mo.

At least thats my story. and I'm sticking to it.

no longer I have the evil red X.
