Signed our New Drummer!

We signed our new drummer. He toured with country star Mark Wills for six months, and is a very professional pocket drummer. He actually played on Mark's hit song "Jakob's Ladder" I recently found out, but accepted an hourly studio rate for his work, which in Nashville is par for the course. That's just the way they do things in Nashville. Only studio musicians, paid scale or double scale depending on their status, and NO ROYALTIES. Your touring band will not be on the albums.

He is excited to be with us, and we are truly excited about the future.

Is that because you still haven't found your drummer or because you just feel like exploring horizons with different musicians?
I'm confused :?

Great deal Criag. There's nothing more enjoyable to me than playing with an excellent drummer. It makes my job so much easier. I can even listen to what the lead players are doing, and not worry at all about the drummer. I hope your band takes off. In my opinion southern rock was disrupted way too early with Skynyrd's planecrash. I think there's still way more future fans just waiting for you Craig. Good luck!! :D :D

Way to go Craig. Good Luck

Theres a lot to be said for a good drummer. One of the groups Im currently playing with has one of the best drummers Ive ever played with. When we play songs and get to transition points in the songs there are no hesitations, unlike some other people I play with. I thought it was me flubbing up the changes, but this guy makes me sound a lot better than I actually am. The other night we were playing Sweet Home Alabama and at the end I said Bobby you were dragging the beat a little, he said no I was just maintaining the meter yu started the song at. After that I realized once I set the meter with the intro, this guy never wavers, its like playing with a drum machine. A little uncomfortably at first, but once you realize that hes going to be there it makes my job a lot easier.

We need that good ol' southern rock back on the scene. I love Southern Rock, it's awesome.

Craig, I am happy you got yourself such a good drummer. I bet your band will do great with him. I wish you luck, man.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
