How about a page ONLY for musicians and bands looking for other musicians and bands?
Make this one page a monitored page.
No chatting, no wise-ass answers or rude and skeptical comments, which tend to drive serious people away. Remove all irrelvant chat from this one page - it takes too long to wade through . . .
.
A SEPARATE PAGE JUST FOR WANT ADS.
.
Make this one page a monitored page.
No BS, no joking, no irrelvant conversations: remove all that crap, and give us one monitored page that we can read through quickly. Some people don't have as much spare tme on their hands as others . . .
.
How about giving us just one page to conduct 100% business?

The word "page" is throwing me off.

Just a place that's pure business, like Craigslist or something . . .
'Forum' suggests public discussion, which is what clutters up all the ads in the first place.
.
I can read 50 ads at Craig'sList or at the MySpace musician's ad-site, - in the same time if takes me to find and read 5 ads here . . .
.
. . . just one page/place at this site that's pure ads, not another chat-room.

I'd like to think my prior suggestion about creating profiles based on a single primary instrument, and then having multiple secondary instruments would greatly enhance the search functions.
It all seems to fall on deaf ears though.

They have one. It's your messaging feature.
They aren't going to go out of their way to avoid the necessity of paying fees to find someone a band situation. They exist by making profit somewhere.
Until they go to a "free" model based on ads and click-throughs alone, don't look for any new feature that would cut into the draw of people paying a fee.

I posted that Myspace link - but Bandmix deleted it within one hour.
Visit me at my myspace page, & I'll direct you.
