Thank you for the welcomes, Crip2Nite and sanshouheil. :D No Megadeth that's a bit young and wild for us, although we do - Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
We do - Old Country, New Country, Classic Rock, Oldies, Blues. Yes, a very wide variety but that's what we like. Yes, we do have lots of fun - we entertain with a show as you can see by our pictures, I put on outfits as well. We get out into the crowd too, we are wireless.

They charge $400 a night to start.

That's $200 a piece.

They're making more than we are. :-)

And Howlin' sez,

Tim and Sharon are what you call "professional entertainers". Most of the rest of us sometimes aspire to be , but end up playing mostly for the fun of it.

After my blue collar job folded due to plant closure (after working there for 20 years), my wife and I put together a duo. (Keys, bass, programmed drums). That project made money. We learned about running a business, paying taxes, and sorta how to get along with each other. Sad to say, we didn't earn enough to run the business, the house, and health insurance. I have long since returned to having a cursed day job, but still find time to satisfy my playing out addiction. At lest I got a taste of being a "professional musicion" , for a while.

If I was to play exclusively today, it's safe to say that I would have to make at least $200 a gig (and be booked every night) to cover gas, tax, insurance, promo, etc.

Sounds like Tim and Sharon have a good thing going!

Jam on!
Howlin'

Most of the 2 man acoustic groups Ive talked to in my area get 250-300 a night, so thats 125-150 a night. Im talking about the guys that do it once or twice a week. Most of these guys play in bands on the weekends and play these gigs on mondays, wed, and thursday nights. There would be good money in being a solo acoustic jukebox in my area. It just never was my cup of tea, but the gig or two I went too were fun. They were getting the crowd to sing along or having guest singers, kind of a live Karaoke.

Im just addicted to loud a** rock n roll, I cant help myself.
