It's been a couple of months since I brought this up, but BMIX, please, for the love of music, make a profound change to the musicians profile / search functions:

Primary Instrument:
Secondary Instruments:

and upgrade the search tools to filter the new criteria.

As it stands, Bandmix, as a search tool for musicians, is about as useful as tits on a bull. Everyone lists 10+ instruments on their profiles and, of course, your profile tools automatically alphabetize them, so unless the person knows this (and what NEW people would?), and knows to put it into their description, we end up getting dozens of hits on people in searches and waste a lot of time mailing lead guitarists for bass positions (example) because bass shows up first in their instruments played list.

I have paid membership, and have waited patiently for this simple change, but so far I have been wasting time & money, as I've not found a single member of our band on this site.

I think this is a reasonable request that any paid member would stand behind and agree with. It's been a reasonable amount of time to accomplish it since I first requested it. I strongly suggest you take action, soon. THX.

no slight on you bmix... I love you just the way you are. of course, I'm not searching for musicians at all... just getting my kicks on random passers-by.

It has nothing to do with paying. The search system won't upgrade even if you pay.

Here at bandmix, we are experiencing what we like to call, "technical difficulties." lol
