That's right.
It's hard to stick with a band and deal with everyones sh*t.
I can tell some good stories about the last few months, here's the two toppers...
We were trying to get in this show called the Summer of Mayhem, we have a nice press-kit made and our guitarist was supposed to deliver it to the agent then he just disappears. We havent seen him in 3 months now. We missed our chance on that show and had to hire a new guitar player. His sh*t is still at our practice pad and everything. I guess he is locked up in his house in some kind of depression or something...
So we hire this new kid, he is only 20 and he thinks he's a rockstar..
Granted he picked up our songs very fast and he IS good... but he lacks a lot of experience.
We're doing this show last weekend and he breaks a string in the middle of a song, so he hops off stage, and borrows a guitar from another band, jumps back on and starts playing with this guitar that is not even close to our tuning.... OMG I about drop-kicked his ass off the stage, how retarded. He totally f-d up that song. (which sounds totally fine with me playing by myself)
I chewed his ass pretty good over it later though.
It takes a lot of patience to stick with it. I've been on the verge of insanity with it all quite a few times. lol
