Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

I see a lot of post about negative experiences from people that hooked up on bandmix including myself occasionally.

But last night I got together with a bass player I met thru here and jammed with his band. It was a great experience. Everyone knew their s*** for a change. We basicaly ran thru around 40 songs and had a great time and might possibly try to book some gigs. There were no egos, these guys made me feel right at home and I felt as musicins we were all evenly matched. They had the songs broken down into set list and we ran right thru the songs.

I just wanted to put up a positive post, that this site can work for connecting musicians if you are patient.

Its funny you go thru dry spells of not finding great musicians to play with and then when you do, you just wonder whats the big deal. After all its only rock n roll.

I met our new guitarist on Bandmix. There are very good musicians here. Just like anything you have to check out as many as you can until you find one that will work with you. Good luck and keep working at it. Later...

I just passed an audition that I found through this site.

I had to put them on hold till i finish auditions but I did get the job if I want it.

The site paid for itself in under 2 weeks

Yea, they said it. It kinda gives you hope that you'll find the right folks.

My praise to band mix also. I've met probably 6 to 10 people that I've played with ocassionally and made some good friends.
Great site. will be looking for some new people soon and will actually be a paying member again. Great job.

am getting sick of some of the forums though. But I'm learning to avoid some topics and people. Most of the people here treat each other with respect and have been gentile yet informitive when reviewing my music taking into consideration that I'm an amature. a kind encourageing group.

As I've mentioned on many previous posts on this forum, I literally found half of my band through this site. (drummer and guitarist).

Now if we can only find the time to tighten up our setlist, we'll be hopefully gigging out this summer. Then I will be able to justify upgradeing my account to a BandVista website builder. Something any serious band should consider. Check it out.
