Well this one's gonna take a while...Gonna try and do a full version of "Won't Get Fooled Again" Just trying to get the keyboard sound right to begin with...I posted a short demo with my Roland keyboard through my tremolo pedal with a square wave on/off setting, but I still need to get a deep phase shifter on the keyboard too.

Man that is one of my all time favorite revolution tunes.
Those vocals are going to be tough.

I wanna hear that one.

Yeah Daltrey's vocals are tough to cover, I did Behind Blue Eyes for years, tinkered with I'm Free and tried it at parties a few times, and have tried singing along with just about everything on Tommy and Who's Next, the guy has a great voice and a hell of a range. I can handle most of it except some of his screams.

I bet your Champ will just about peg the rhythm guitar part cranked to 10 with no effects, add some delay through the recording software. It'll also get the sustain it needs for that song. Or mine will anyway...yours should do it just as well.

Damn I can't wait, if I was anywhere within a couple hours drive I'd be over there pronto to help out. That's one I always thought would be a good one to cover for bar gigs, very popular and one of those that makes you want to rock out.

How about Baba O'reilly?? hehe...

Dax,
Many years ago, I worked out that tune and got the sound with just useing my old Farfisa organ through my Super- Reverb amp. Had great tremelo. I don't recall ever getting a chance to get it together in a band. It was about the time when I started to get into original songs and just did easy covers to jam out with.

You've gotta hear our rendition of "The Real Me".... guitar part is cake but the bassist flies all over the fretboard.... even though we are a metal act, the crowd just loves that tune!!

Weve played Wont Get Fooled Again for years. We play it kinda Van Halen style. People love to hear it. Theres a line "Then I get on my knees and pray", we would all fall down on our knees, one time I thought I knocked my knee cap off. We play Pinball Wizard sometimes and it gets a good response.
