Hey guys, hope everyone is keeping well! I have not been able to be on much with life just exploding into one thing after another :) BUT my first mP3 is up! I'm excited and nervous...you know how it goes ;) I actually was totally NOT planning on putting this recording up...hubby got me an mP3 player for my 30th B-day this year and I was messin' around with this so-so karaoke machine I have. BUT my mission is to appease all you musicians out there with the constant rant about those of us who don't post files! lol

So if you can get your head around the amature karaoke sound, I am alright enough with the vocals...had strep throat too but needed to sing something! I'm workin' on some better ones here and hope to post more soon...ttfn!

:D

Okay...so the files are mP3 files - I downloaded them directly from the player, but for whatever reason they are not showing up on the player in my profile...you will have to actually go into the Audio/Video tab and then download them from there to hear them. Sorry!

I thought you did a good job within the limits of the technology you used.
I,d like to hear you do that live. Got to sound much better.
I posted a new song. A first practice cut we recorded as we were wriiting tha song. Lyrics by yours truly. Vocals by Ray Jackson, and music by NKF.
Was just kinda mousing around with the lead. Not too sure how I want to play it just yet. "Armagedon".

Thanks guys. I like the 2nd one better personally. (it's also sentimental because my dearest hubby was being an a$$ so I sang it for him  ) I have added 2 more Classic Rock songs, still on the karaoke machine but used tracks & my PVi100 mic & noticed much better sound quality.

Respectful critiquing welcome.

Yeah...technology... :? I removed the first track after I posted the other 2 because I realized it sounded like crap! I was so sick when I sang it so I shouldn't have posted it...

Actually, I didn't care for it that much...I found that the vocals weren't that good and the guitar was a little whiny-sounding. Maybe try for a deeper sound and softer vocals? Lyrics were good and I like what you're gettin' at brother! I liked both versions of "You Guide My Way" much better... 8)

Oh I'm sure it'll get better with practice! Isn't that how it goes?! :) I do think that softer vocals would flatter the song more tho...let me know if you try it so I can hear it okay!
