Hey brothers it's been a bit! I'd just like to say thank you for all of the advice that was given to me by all of you super cool dudes. At first I was really bummed that I didn't get any response from this site for a while, but I did eventually get one really good request unfortunately that guy and myself are like better than 500 miles apart. At least it was something .

I believe it was Kramerguy that recommended that I go to the local music stores and such to spread the word, so that's what I did as well as getting back out into the scene and visiting my old friends bands while they were playing out. Man that was great to see that they all still remembered me and were really happy to see me again getting back into what they say "I was meant to do." Since doing all of that over the past few weeks I've had soooooo many requests to start giving guitar lessons again that I'm actually considering it for some extra cash flow, but it would take time away from what I'm really after; my own band or bands.

Anyway it looks like Ja and I are going to resurrect Crowfeather (kind of funny since my last name is Crowe) with a different twist to it because of my faster and heavier stylings. This couldn't have been more of a perfect fit for me as a player because the way that Ja writes is right along my lines as well, but I'll add some more spice and craziness to everything. It's going to rock so f!c#ing hard that it'll blow some heads off for sure.

Then last night this unreal studio drummer Tony called me up and asked me to join his band that's already established, but he said that they need a player at my level to fill in the void. Very cool because I have jammed with him in the past as well. This project is more of a heavy funk with a metal edge to it and that's where he said that I come in. All of these guys in either band are exactly what I've been looking for all of this time, and then everything happened in the period of 4 days. Man that's crazy!!!

Looks like I'll be a VERY busy dude from now on and I really owe it all to you guys for making me keep my head up when I was down and convinced me not to give it up again like I did for 8 years. From now on it's full steam ahead for this metalhead dude!

Once again THANK YOU ALL for being sooooo cool and real. I feel that I've made some pretty cool friends here and I'll continue to keep you dudes updated as to what's going on and post some new material (professionally recorded this time around not by dumb old me that doesn't know anything about it ) as we get it done.

Don't give up the dream this time without knowing that you put everything you had into it. Then if it falls short, you will know that you gave your best effort, and won't live in regret wondering "what if?" for the rest of your life. Make this one count bro!

Thank you very much brothers!!! Here's the scoop on the poop so far...

Crowfeather: The guys were horrified at my main riffs. They compare them to like a fast Testament style and there's another guitarist involved that can't do it at all. They use "D" across the board with a drop "C" tuning so I'm using my Jackson for this band. Cool part is that for now all I have to do is clean up what they've already got recorded and add a bunch of my own solos and faster harmony parts. They also do alot of pull-offs which I usually don't do because I think that it's lazy (I usually pick every single note no matter what the speed may be), but it works for their rhythms. I'm going to be writing differently than usual with this one, but all in all it's a really great band with a TON of potential. I just have to get Ja to use his natural voice more than just screaming because he really has an awesome voice much like Symphony X or Mystic Prophecy.

Tony's funk/metal project: This one really opens things up more to alot of jazz stylings and crazy off the wall timing changes which I really dig. For this band I'm using the Caparison. Once again all that's expected of me at this point is soloing and faster harmony stuff because their CD is almost done and Tony said that his plan was to get it this far and then call me up to join. Their recording technique is way different than what I'm used to. The amps are in a seperate room and mic'd, then we're in a different room all with headphones on, but playing all together at the same time while we're being recorded. It comes out beautiful though. I'd compare the sound of this one to extremely pissed-off Chili Peppers with more of a metal edge. A TON of potential here as well.

All in all it's really cool to have to write so differently from night to night because it seems to open up creativity that I never thought of just noodling by myself. Someday I'll be able to bust out my style of metal mayhem once the other guys step up to the plate, but for now I don't want to scare anyone off like I've been accused of in the recent past. Crowfeather will probably be the band for that though as Tony doesn't want me to write too much on the metal side for his stuff. Well that's up to date for now bros. Talk to ya soon!!!
