I've got a fender Champ 25 SE
Entirely different critter. The amp Dajax is talking about is a 6 watt all tube amp made in the 60's. Mine's a 74 model silverface, I've never seen a small practice amp match it. I put a 6L6 power tube in mine and hooked it up to a 12" speaker, it's a killer amp. Nothing can match it for low volume cranked up tube amp sound.
Dajax: I'll see if I can listen, I'm at the local library, using my laptop on their wireless, tried to check out a couple of other songs a few minutes ago and it locked up Firefox when I tried to close the profile. Also found out they have youtube blocked, that really sucks, I wanted to check out the Neanderpaul/jimmydanger video...can't do it at home on dialup, takes way too long for those things to download and can't do anything else.
EDIT:
Checked it out, locked up the browser again, but only when I tried to close the other tab. Not bad at all, sounds about like my Champ. Mine sounds really nice clean, volume around 3 or 4, but I like it best cranked to 10, nothing beats that cranked tube sound.
Also checked out "I Am the Walrus" since that's an old favorite. Pretty good cover, if you want to get closer to the vocal sound make a paper funnel and put it around the mic, sing with your face in the large end. A bit of clear tape holds it together well. I used to make mine about 4" diameter at the large end, 4" to 5 " long and kept one ready onstage for the old Dave Edmunds song "I Hear Yoiu Knocking". A paper cup is the way McCartney/Lennon got that sound in the studio, punched a hole in the bottom and put it over the mic. I remembered that from way back and when we put I Hear You Knockin together I tried it, worked great.
Also I think in the part "Sitting in an English garden" etc it would have been better to leave it at the lower dynamic level then bring it back to full volume at the line "If the sun don't come you get a tan" at the word come. Or fade it in louder at that point and bring in the guitars etc.
Overall, nice job, I'll have to check some more out. Think I'll try to download a couple of songs so I can drop songs on my USB drive and transfer to the Linux machine at home, lots better sound quality than this laptop. Usually I'm at home but couldn't pay the bill so the internet connection is shut down for now, so I'm sitting at the library...it sucks...but it's faster...
