Although I am against all wars and hope for the day when soldiers are obsolete, I salute the brave men and women who have fallen in service to our great country. We think of you this day, thank you.

George Carlin is the best. Wish there were more people like him.

You dont fight for peace you fight for liberty and justice. You die for peace thats the only way you will ever get it. Carlin is a funny man but not very astute at truth.

Remember, it's Memorial Day ( although it is the day after ). Remember the dead. Many have also died for the sake of peace, by making a stand for peace. This stand cost many their lives in the face of war. 8) It all took courage.

I made a video for "Coming Home", a song of ours about a father's last words to his son before leaving for war, and the son's promise to keep his word to his father, when he finally does "Come Home" although, not in the way hoped for.

If you want to check it out...

Yeah, we've gotten alot of good feedback on it. Patriots are touched by the song as it is, but the images in the video seem to increase the feelings.

We played "American Soldier" and dedicated it to a friend of ours, who had been back home only 2 days, and he went to see us perform the song, and dedicate it to him. He drank his ass off that night, and had a blast though, especially when I told all the women in the joint that he was single. LOL

He loved "American Soldier" and can't wait for a copy, but that night, he told me, that this song "Coming Home" had gotten him through the war so far, and that he listened to it every morning before going out on missions.

I would have thought it may have had the reverse effect, since it speaks of a father "coming home" in a casket, but I think he may have locked onto the father's advice in the song...

"Carry on, and try to keep on standing, even if sometimes you're standing all alone!"

But I was teary from that. I had no idea, he was listening to the song every single morning over in Iraq! And that it gave him strength. That humbles me. Music can mean so much more to people than even those of us that write it, may realize sometimes. It's one of the reasons I mostly write stuff with positive messages, or that teaches people something, hopefully, making a difference in their lives.
