It's probably okay if you're into that sort of thing. I'd like it better if you could find a key & stick to it, myself.

I've heard this sort of thing before, & had ppl tell me it's good. I can't seem to appreciate it at all.

The reggae thing had this annoyingly late rhythm chunking on it. The blues jam had the guitar in a different key than the bass. Didn't like the tone on any of the guitar work, & I don't think the recording quality had anything to do with it. I couldn't make it through a single track, short as they were.

I'd work on it a lot harder, if it was me doing it, but as I said, there are ppl out there who probably like it.

Hope I'm not sounding too critical, but I can't find anything that I like in it, & I'm sorry about that, even if it isn't my fault. Nothing personal, my man, but you did ask for honesty, & I always give it.

Still, I wish you luck in your projects.

I really appreciate the couple responses so far.philbymon you defently nailed everything that bothered me about the tracks, the lil reggae one was done with a 10 sec drum sample looped over so you can probly notice a clicking everytime it dubs over, which through my timing off more then once.It also had my first attempt at a mock base line with the guitar,i figured it'd be better then what i tried with the blues track which had been done with a sample loop of bass and drum.I'm very far from being a professional and am still looking for HUMAN musicians to jam with, lol.Looping 5 second samples ain't all that fun for me, so any criticism is good critcism.

practice, practice, and more practice.

You need to work on timing. Use a drum loop or metronome. Practice until you 'feel' the rhythm, then you are standing at an open door to limitless possibilities.

Good luck

Philbymon,i love that track "We the people" on your profile, reminds me of some of the Bad Brains reggae tunes.

Blair rock, you rock, but i can't understand how someone as good as you could enjoy listening to any of my tracks, lol.

Sanshouheil "Noise pollution" f**k rocks man.

Kramerguy you had a cool sound with a mix of Paul Leary and those Butthole Surfers and Tool.Call me crazy but i prefer your version of Rush's Limelight over the original.

Thanks for the advice so for guys, does anyone know where i can find full drum tracks i can use to practice with?,around here drummers are scarce with the large music scene grabbing them up right away.
I'd appreciate more advice from you guys, you people know your sh*t,where as i'm expanding from the beautifully gritty and raw sounds of punk rock.

Steve, thanks for the kind words.

You might want to check out garageband.com . They have samples of all sorts of things, for a reasonable price, including many drumming styles.

You can record over them to make your own sweet sounds, & even use some of the other sampled instruments they have to enhance your personal recordings.

Check them out & let me know what you think.

Let me tell you something about critisism. If Bob Dillon Posted Knocking on heavens door and asked for reviews of it. People would say it sucked you cant sing, three chords for the whole song. come on. No difference between the Verses and the Chorus. The chorus is "knock knock knockin on heavens door" repeated 4 times, come on to much repetition. They would sday it sucks and that he sucks. So if you agree with any of the criticism you here, thats what you pay attention to. any you don't agree with let it go. Some one would have told the beatles. Let it be! No man Let it go, let it go, let it go, let it go, listen to these words of wisdom let it goooooo.

Go to http://unifiedtboc.com/ Check out the 11th song Latter Rain by Larry Gray. Most people don't get it but I think the song is great. The people here are great with there critiques and pretty gentile where other sites disect every phrase and are tough. What others think is good but what you think is more important.
I just listened to some of it and liked it. But I just listened to listen not to critique. so that's why I said good. It'll get better but you're already a better guitarist than I am. I play slow with feeling because I can't do fast, being left handed playing Right handed.
God bless,
Blair

??!!?? If you don't know what a click track is, it takes the place of a metronome.

Other than that, i don't understand your question.
