I wouldn't even know how it's tuned.

I have enough trouble with 6 strings these days after my ulna nerve surgery.

Yeah I've been playing them on and off since the early 90's, but never really found a "real" use for them. If you take a Jackson SLS Soloist, slap #10 Dean Markley Blue Steels on it, and tune it down to "C" across the board, you actually get a better tone. You can go to 12's and drop it all the way down to "A" across the board with no buzz as well. When they first came out they were great because they were new so to speak, but as time went on people started to drop tune fixed-bridge 6-strings and got better results with tone, ect. The baritone scale length will probably be a thing of the past here pretty soon as well. My Caparison has a 24 3/4" scale length with 27 frets and a fully floating floyd with the tuning set to "D" across the board with the ability to go to "A". I guess what I'm trying to say is that fads come and go...

Leave a post for Roobubba on the BareKnucklePickups forums. I'm sure he'll sort you out! We play six string but tune to B with a drop A and have to use proper fat strings!!!

Wow, that little bit about being able to get stable drop tunings was really informative, Shred. News to me..
