I just added two new samples on my profile. These are a couple of songs my old band and I used to perform at our shows. I recorded them a couple of years ago. One is a dark blues kinda tune called "Out Of Darkness" and the other is a Santana tune" Black Magic Woman". I miss playing this stuff. Just click on my profile. Thanks!

Did you ever hear Green playin' "The Supernatural"? Its on John Mayall's classic 1966 album "A Hard Road". It's the instrumental predecessor to "Black Magic Woman". Best use of controlled feedback ever! I'd bet it's in your Dad's vinyl collection. If not, beg; borrow; or steel a copy for yourself. That album contains some of the best blues ever played by white people, in my opinion.

Thanks Howlin! I do believe he does have that one. That was with the Bluesbreakers if I remember right. There was another song he did on that album besides Supernatural but I can't remember the name of that one. He had a very unique sound. He must of played a Les Paul on that album.

I believe the song to which you refer is non other then the old Freddy King classic, "The Stumble". Most of the good ol' guitar players from my neck of the woods know it.

The Bluesbreakers released the "Crusade" album the next year,1967.
Peter Green was replaced with a guy about your age (at the time) named Mick Taylor.
I seen this band live at the Fillmore East. Taylor was using a Fender Super Reverb AND a Twin Reverb. I don't recall the guitar he was playing.
They did two good instrumentals, "Flyin' Sideways" and " Snowy Wood".

I would have liked to hear a little more melody line worked into the lead on Black Magic Woman, just here and there, to anchor it, even if it was meant only as more of a break.

Thanks Howlin and Craig! I took the sample down and added the full song of Black Magic Woman to my profile. I had to compress it a bit more but it doesn't sound to bad at all.

Philbymon, that's strange. I haven't had this problem before. Anyone else have a problem with accessing my audio files?
