Glad to help, Craig...LOL...in my own small way.

Looks like it could work for Sgt Slaughter's theme song, too. I'd offer it to him, anyway, & see if he wanted to use it. Might make you a few bucks.

When I have to do a new song that worries me lyrically, I slip a page on the monitor, with the 1st few words of each line written in thick Magic Marker. That always helps me, just to have those lil cues.

Glad you made it through your show unscathed. Now go get some ClearVoice...it's only about $11...just a squirt in the throat & all is a bit better for the next set. It works fast, that stuff.

I have a friend/ex-student who is about to come out of the army after being in Iraq. I'll send him your lyrics, man. I'm sure he'll love 'em.

No, I'm not joking, Craig. I'm pretty sure he'd like it. I'll send him the link.

Thanks.

Yes, I quite agree. The soldiers on the front definitely need stuff to boost them up & get them excited about the things they are required to do.

I also think it's a good thing the armed services are doing now, namely, giving the soldiers time while they are still serving to calm down & reorient themselves into polite society, rather than just bring 'em home from the front & dump 'em on the docks waiting for thier family to pick 'em up like they used to, at one time.

My ex-student was talking about how they had to watch every single person over there, keeping a weather eye out for the bad guys who blend into the crowd so easily. When he got here, he went to a mall. He described sensory overload while trying to watch everything & everyone at once. It really shook him. It's hard to understand that, for those of us that haven't experienced those things.

I never heard of Singer's Savig Grace.

Clear Voice has "Tylophora Osha Root, Aloe Vera Root, Marjoram, Maca Root, Glycerin & H2O"

There's some that's flavored, too. I swear by the stuff when I'm feeling a little weak in the chords.

Hey, Craig...check this out

http://youtube.com/watch?v=_P7umAnAcvE

I think it's the best song about war I ever heard...it doesn't have any particular opinion of war itself...it's very very cool, even if it's a bit droney at 1st.

Though you might like it.

It's good for its genre...I'm not really into Southern Rock that much.

There's something about your live sound...guitar tones? I dunno...can't put my finger on it....maybe I'm waiting for a keyboard wash in the background...I don't think it's the recording quality or the mix, but something...I'll hafta listen to it some more & get back to you

Your vocals sounded pretty good for a sick guy

Great song. Moving. Honest.

Have you heard my song "Coming Home" on our MySpace profile? In some ways it's similar, although much less about war itself, than a family dealing with it's aftermath. It revolves around a father's last advice to his son, before going off to war.

Check it out sometime.

HEY! - (lyrics for a potential new Southern Mischief song)

What have you guys been sayin'

that ya don't want Howlin' to hear?

Did ya have a change of heart?

Or just been drinkin' too much beer!

Who's to take offence

of a misspoken word or two

keep those opinions flyin'!

(it's the sporting thing to do!)

To quote Billy Idol, it looks like I been "dancin' with myself" here, Craig...LOL

This thread will never die, now.

No, I don't think you can delete a thread, once it's been responded to.

Nice creative bit o' altering, though!

I talk to dots all the time...ask any woman in a polka dotted bikini.

Good analogy Philby,

It only go's to show, You can't cover much up with a dot, weather a bikini, or a "post gone bad". anyways,

Craig Maxim is still one of my favorite "BandMixerinos" ,( as Irish Anthony so elegantly states it).

I must admit, that dot caught MY attention. Seems our dear Ol' Georgian boy was wrigglin' like a nightcrawler on a fishin' hook for awhile.

had me
Howlin'
