Did you pass up an opportunity that you didn't think was right for you at the time or make a mistake musically that still haunts you today? Some would say that what I'm doing now is a mistake but the one that really bothers me and the one I regret the most is passing up an offer to play for what is now one of my favorite bands here on the west coast. I was young and afraid to take that big step at the time. It's not that they have made it big yet but they are a good solid band and I still love their music. In 2000 a small label in LA was interested in my band. They wanted us to change our name from The Farleys to The Far. Being proud we refused, and they promptly lost interest. I'd change it to the Sh*tballs if they wanted now.

In 1990 I was registered with Yamaha and some regional thing they were doing, and somehow a band 200 miles away got my contact info, called me and asked me to send a demo tape, which I did. They liked it and asked me to drive in for an audition.

I don't know what I was thinking, but at the time, I didn't want to be on the road and they said up front that they toured nationally, and pretty much live on the road.

So I turned them down. Literally 6 months my later my life was completely wrecked by a newer GF and I lost everything (she stole most of it), including a rare, extremely valuable, and what would now be vintage guitar.

I always wondered where that would have led me had I taken them up on it and had a good audition.

Theres not enough room here to list the dumb stuff i messed up on.

Musically, personally, business wise, mx racing wise, even acting, but I guess in the end I wouldnt change a thing.

I wont say God cause that gets you in big trouble on this site, so I will say there is some higher power that I think puts us all in a certain place at a certain time, so I feel like I am exactly where Im supposed to be.

Off subject but I saw one of those Heavy Metal shows on VH1 and the lead singer from Warrant was all pissed cause he wrote the song Cherry Pie. He said I was a heavy metal player and now Im known as the cherry pie man. He said he wished he had put a gun to his head instead, somehow I dont feel like it was that bad cause Im sure he got plenty of cherry pie at the time.

So watch what you wish for you might become the cherry pie guy, or the muffin man, or the marshmallow time, or the louie louie guy.

I made a mistake musically at practice the other night when I started to play "Inside Looking Out" in the wrong key!

Many years ago I was playing in a good band and for some mysterious reason the other band members kicked out one of our guitar players, Doug Foster, out of the band. We had another good guitarist and a great horn section. I was doing all the vocals. I almost quit all those guys and called Doug but they talked me into staying with them. I never did talk to Doug after that and have never seen or heard about him since (1990). I don't know if he's still in the area, moved or died. I would love to talk to him again and get him to come out and play with us, we could use somebody that good. Is there a good missing person search website that actually works? Does anybody know where Doug Foster is? Tell him to get hold of me ASAP. It still haunts me today knowing I let a truly talented lead player slip out of my hands, worst decision I ever made in music. Waaaay back when I was just a young'un, I was approached by the drummer of a pretty well known signed band (they are still sitting pretty from their million + album sales in Europe) and he asked me to be the guitarist of his band... at the time I hadn't a freakin' clue who they were and I declined the offer because I thought my silly garage band were moving up the ladder ....... need I say more?

Yeah. I was playin' a club in Wildwood, NJ many years ago and this beautiful girl came up to me and said "Hi, my name is Tequila and I want to f**k you right now" I said "I'm workin' right now but I'll be done at two" She left at quarter of. That's regret motherfuckers. lol

Besides saying "Don't worry about it." , anytime or every time that they ask you a question.
Work in 3 or 4 of those in your next conversation. Works like a charm.

I regret letting instruments collect dust for about 3 years, due to burn out with the whole music 'scene'.

I dont think so....I don't have the horse teeth that he has!

I like their music though, always did.
