ok.....so im new to the forums and thought I would say hello...I have been playing the guitar for around 10 years now but have never really gotten into the band deal....i put together a few personal songs and thought about getting them out there.....i have tons of friends in the music biz....thats mostly why i havent been involved in it...I hear about it all the time LOL....anyway....I also recently put up a myspace page if anyone wants to chat or needs another friend on thier list at anyrate hello to all....looking forward to chatting with you all.

Welcome to the boards, Dez. It is nice meeting you. I am a guitarist as well, but only been playing a couple of years. I plan on doing something with a band when I am better at the instrument - but I do not have many friends who can talk to me about it all day in person and drive me nuts enough not to want to get too involved, lol.

Actually, you can get involved.
I recorded several songs with a lady with a phenominal voice, and she's from Australia. I'm from CT, and we've never met.

By the way, if you're going to be writing any music, you should open a MySpace Musician's account.
I understand that a regular account is difficult to change over to a musician's account.

When you eventually open that account, you will be leaving all your links to your Myspace friends behind. . . . no comments, no messages, no friends, not nothing . . .

I went through that . . . it was a big, big, hassel, so I just deleted the first account, after the 1st week . . .
That's why I mentioned it; even if you won't be ready to post music for a few months, now is still the time to open it . . .
