Search function sucks

OK, so I am a paying member.

I search BANDS
SEEKING musicians
I specify BASS
Within 50 miles of my area code
ONLY search bands looking for musicians
ACTIVE within 2 weeks
SORT by activity date

Pretty simple but what I get is a list of bands from here to very far away with activity dates over a month.

If there are no results for a specific search then say so, don't make me go through each and everyone that is not specific to my search.

This has always been like this.

Me pay too. Me search many moons. Me find. Me JAM.
Pain in the arse, yes.
You tolerate pain. You search. You find. You Jam too.
Me listen. Me smile. All Good.

The search function has never worked on BandMix, and many of us have told them several times about it. They have improved some things but I guess search functionality is way down the list.

I live in the center of CT, on the shore.
I just did a search within a 25 mile radius. It came up with one band from New York!
? 25 miles ?
Sheeesh . . .

Hey Guys,

We just did a search with the same specs for Bands Seeking / 50 mile radius / 2 week activity / sorted by activity and got accurate results.

Also, the radius search is always based off the zip code, so if a user inputed an incorret zip code they will show up in the wrong searches.

What was the zip code that you used in your search at the top?

Thanks

Ah, It looks like the extra checkbox: "Only Bands Seeking Musicians" is what is causing the problem. We will fix this today. Our apologies for not finding this earlier.

Okay, I believe it is fixed, we also removed some of the backfill results for the advanced search. Try searching now and let me know if you find any other problems...

thanks
