I love these people that advertise for people, no one answers their ad and as a result, they write new solicitations as often as they can. They post more, as if some was not good enough. (if 2 asprin are good, are 100 great?)
I got news for you freaks, if people listened to your music and didn't want to be your drummer, guitarist, bassist or keyboardist, they won't want to join you or jam with you, just because you spam it 100x more.
You can write it on the top of the world and still no one will want to get together.
Just chill out and sit down, your blocking the show and giving me a migraine.
If you want an example, I have 5 or so I am willing to name just to be a catalyst.

Bullseye Captain: I dont mind the guys on here lettin us know what they got goin on, but this aint the Seek and Ye Shall Find Forum. Using the local search feature is much more precise for locality. Unless your offering a gig / job worth moving four states away for. Then by all means thread away.

Mmmm, I don't think it works like that, Cap'n.
See likely candidates check into this forum, or any other, at very different times. Plus, a good fit for your band may be unavailable one week and suddenly available the next. Because of that dynamic, it's like fishing. You don't pull your line in and go home after one cast, do you?
I've tested this out on craigs list, and it works. It's amazing what kind of response you get there from day to day.

There are over 149 thousand members on the member list. I.ve seen maybe 20 active on the forum. And the members list feature will break it down for you by area / zip code.

True, but every once in a while you get a new face in here, or one that's been on BandMix for a long time and decided to stick their toes in the forum waters. I was more addressing places like MySpace or CraigsList.

Yes we do see some new folk from time to time I,m one of them. I find Myspace, well, difficult to navigate around the turds if ya know what I mean. Our front man keeps us a myspace place I guess its too complicated for country folk like me.

Ok, folks here's the MySpace address you want to go to.
This is the one I use, the city I use is Hartford, CT.
This is for ACTIVE and LOCAL musicians.
When the site come up, find and click the button to choose a city near you.
.
http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... 7022712824
.
Work fast, before Bandmix decides to erase this competitor's address.

Go to that site and look for local musicians.
.
RE: YOUR address;
You can always visit the site, copy the address, & paste it below your message.
What I do is I keep a document with all of my various music pages listed. I open it, and voila!. It even lists which songs are on which sites . . .makes life easy . . .

I just notice like 5 people saying the same thing 5x a day in all the forums and I am locked and loaded.
I.E. I am trying not to earn my bad rep once again and shoot people full of holes, but the naer-do-wells are getting on my nerves.
And if people keep being ignorant, it's going to get ugly 'round here. lol
"Cyber Christ".. Opps, there's 1 now! 4 more obvious ones left to get outed, like closet deviants.

Lmao. I think it is okay for them to post on here and look for people, I think it does sort of work, as I believe Irminsul was saying. I just do not like when they post in 50 areas... Just post once under the U.S. (If that is your country) and once under General Chat. That is all that is needed.
Other than that, use Craigslist (It is a great site), or use MySpace, or find another forum. But flooding this one is not helping, I think the people who come here have seen your first two, they do not need four more postings to get the point that you need another musician.
*Shrug*
That is my take on it.
Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

They think that by beating you with their ad, it will make you respond to them
(welts on face and head) And I still say, "HELL NO".
My advice is to try "electrocution". lol
