outside of the fiew folks that do the wed night open mic, music is officially dead in the south. i'm talking bout real players doing other things than gospel. man ,fusion, jazz, funk ,r&b, hell where are the dave mathews and lenny's around here. metal is not for the masses . did they all die with katrina. it's so sad to be in a dead city. i hope i get some responses. if not it's official! :?:

Sorry to hear that, Bro. I can tell you that what you are feeling is not an isolated phenomenon. Real musicality in live music is getting harder and harder to find. Keep at it though. Maybe you'll be the one to kick start it in your region again.

Damn, Skunk,
Music shur-'nuff aint dead in the south! Just last night I heard a brand new "B-52's" song. And if that don't "float your boat", check out Craig Maxum's "Southern Mischief", Live and Well to be sure!
