New service called qTrax which is licensed through EMI and Warners, etc... and is paid for through advertising. The bet is, that you will endure a little advertising, to legally download songs, with no limit, from a catalogue of 25 million songs, using their p2p (peer to peer) service.

What do you think?

Downloads start at Midnight, U.S. Eastern Time!

Check it out here:

No, not yet. When I posted this, it was still hours away from release. I see that there is a link now, but it failed for me on first attempt. It is possible their servers are overloaded, because of the way they opened the doors all at one time at midnight.

Now that I think about it more though, I may wait a while and let others be, effectively, the beta testers. It is still in beta, and therefore possibly buggy. I'm also wondering if it contains any type of spyware, I loathe spyware!

So, I think I'll watch for awhile first, and let the kinks get ironed out, and the servers time to catch up. And make sure there is no junk code in there too.

Yeah, it's kind of like those "Mikey" commercials... "Oh, I do not want to attempt crashing my computer, let's let Mikey try it on his!" Lmao.

I think I will stay away from downloading any songs from the internet, with fear that Lars Ulrich will hunt me down and sue me, lol.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.
