good day my bandmixareeeenos....

my new band needs a bass player in a hurry.....
check my profile tunes to see the level of playing that we need...
so far we have myself playing guitar and lead vocals, lead guitar+vox, piano+vox(female) and drums.all involved are top players and great people its taken me a long time to find them and all we need now is a soild bass player to finish off the act..we play mostly my new original stuff(very different to my old heavy stuff) but were working on alot of co-writen tunes at the mo with a few covers thrown in for shits and giggles...

ie...queens of the stone age,damien rice,frames,prince(oh yes),johnny cash,U2,etc.

we all write and give as much or as little as we feel we need to and we have fully equiped recording/jamming space to play with..

bass player should be 20-35ish this is not a rule but he or she must be a solid player ie playing for years and be able to jam and gig a.s.a.p if your only playing a while please dont reply we need a pro or semi-pro level player who can fill the role.

i refuse to accept that there are no good bass players in west virgina ,were based around the charleston area so it makes sence if you are too.

if you fit the bill reply to me here and we can take it from there...

cheers.

Irish Anthony,
If you fail to find a competent bass player, why not have your keyboardist play bass with her left hand? It does have its limitations but I've done it in a few trios. With a half decent synth, it should work out fine.(one less head to deal with and a bid more coin in the pocket!).

MAN! I wish I could be there Anthony. Bass is my first instrument. I absolutely love to play bass and sing harmonies to a smokin' artist like you. Good luck my man.

i hear what your saying howlinj..its something we have talked about and tried but everything starts to sound like the doors when we try it and i know what you mean by "less heads to feed" when it comes to money, if it was a covers band we wouldnt need a bass player so much but were doing lots of original stuff so i think we need a real bass to fatten out the sound and add that extra magic that only a live bass can give..

and paul i would have you playing bass and singing in a heart beat, you would be perfect for this band,as i said its a real "co-op" band everyone has imput and its a good bunch.....no musical hitlers if you know what i mean....

we have two guys to look at so far, so fingers crossed we could be set.

thanks for the comments amigos.

Man, I wish ya the best of luck...the band I'm working with right now consists of three "natural" bass players (their normal instrument)...unfortunately none of us play lead guitar-that's our problem. Maybe we can begin trade negotiations-

Rock on brother!

Wish you were local, I'd come check you guys out. You have the stuff. Good luck.

Only one thing though....

You can't dominate the world, because I'm gonna beat you to it. But I might sublet a part of it to you with the proper tribute being paid. ;-)

You could have Utah though!

LMAO!!

Rock the f**k out of West Virginia bro.... they need it!
