Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

Hi guys, not sure if this is the right place to post this but I figured I'd try.

I know there's a ton of musicians in the Chicago area, and perhaps this has been posted before, but I thought this would be a good way to get to know each other. I used to live in New Jersey and Florida (Orlando) and in both places there was an incredible network of musicians supporting each other, regardless of genre and style of music. I imagine Chi-town should be the same way (I hope).

So I just wanted to see how many musicians are out there from Chicago!

Hey Shiraz,

I had a blast playin the Chicagoland area 88-94...Played the burbs mostly but all the area music stores were VERY supportive back then...If you were outta work,it was because you wanted to be...Ive seen a few on here from "Sweet Home ORD"...I miss the area..Kinda sorry I left...I hope it hasnt changed much...Look up a Cat named Scott Hendricks (Keyboards)...He was networked well around the city...Geez, Im talkin about this like it was 3-4 yrs ago ...He'd be around 57-58...Maybe he's still rockin...I listened to all your tunes...Good stuff...Different...Good luck.

Thanks John! Much appreciated. Yeah, we're friends with a couple of bands in the Chicago area (Lucid Ground, Busted C**t) but we wanted to get to know more from this website also.

My oldlady(at the time...mmmm..5 oldladys ago....yep...) ended up moving back to Columbus OH...I got home sick for the old stompin grounds of "Cowtown"and went back ..NOW , Im TOTALLY back in Wet Vag&%# where I started in 75...(Howd' that happen)...Im no longer full of piss and vingar or Id go back to ORD... ...I like the quiet here now..MUCH less traffic....Jesus , what am I saying. ..I guess I BEES gettin elderlyer...Yeah , some of the older Cats that I played with back then have since gone to FLA.. ...I guess Im next... ...

Lets here it out there, ANYONE on here playin in Chicagoland????
