I think the amount of genres out there is apalling. So if you can't beat them, join them. I am starting my own genre and it is the Galaxy genre.

Basically the Galaxy genre contains the best bands and players in the galaxy. I have already added Rush since they are best band in the galaxy.

So everyone add your band or player you think is the best in the galaxy however let it be known if you add some one lame I will personally ridicule you and encourage others to do the same. :D

The additions can be any player of an instrument or type of music from Rap to Classical.

The Galaxy Genre

Rush
Al Dimeola
John Petruccin
Dream Theatre
Andre Segovia
Randy Rhodes
Led Zepplin
The Who
Ihtzak Perlman

You get the point.

Well I am not sure I want to do it now, since you are probably going to ridicule me and hurt my feelings.

Lmao, neh, kidding.

Okay, um, well, best players in the Galaxy?

Okay.

1. Eric Clapton (And any band he was in, Blind Faith, Derek And the Dominos, etc...)
2. Yo Yo Ma
3. B.B. King
4. Duane Allman
5. Lynard Skynard
6. Black Sabbath (Tony Iommi has a lot of talent in my opinion)
7. The Beatles
8. Farid Al Atrache

Okay, those are my Galaxy genre selections.

Silly Wegman! You cannot CREATE a genre....they just come about of their own accord.

No go sit in the corner and think about what you said!

Lmao! Oh, that will be the day.

Person 1: "What is your genre?"
Person 2: "Galaxy man!"
Person 1: "... Galaxy, *Head shake* So what pot are you taking that you consider yourself 'Galaxy'?"
Person 2: "..."

Lol.

Dang, if I have had a stressful day I can just come to this forum and laugh my brains out.

Peace out guys, GuitarAnatomy.

Hey weggie, are you sure you took your medications today? :D

Pretty big band there, I would put Edgar Winter on Alto Sax, Eric Johnson on guitar, Ian Anderson on Flute and lock Yoko out of the studio...

Jethro Tull would have to go on that band list too...
I think I'd also have to add Steely Dan

Wegman,

I got it started for you. Last night me and the singer from my old band went to a couple of clubs to promote our New Years gig. The DJ at one club had us in the booth talking up our gig, and he asked how we would describe our music. Ussually I would let Kevin do the talkin but I jumped in and said we play Galaxy Music. The DJ was crackin up and we were walking around and some of the younger folks were going yea we gotta get some of that Galaxy stuff you were talkin about. We were headed home and Kevin said WHats the deal are you having flashbacks or somethin. Those people probably think Im a space case for sure. Well as long as they come out and spend money with us New Years who cares.
