1968 thru 1978 I was playing 6 nights per week plus weddings and parties on Saturdays & Sundays. Friday and Saturday nights we played 2 gigs 9~1 & 3~7 at 2 different lounges. So my total since 1965 thru present is around 4,000 gigs.

I love playing before a crowd, human connection is so important.
The applause is just affirmation on your / bands musicianship and performance.

Yeah; I played 98% originals, and it's always nice to see folks in the crowd really enjoying your music.
I sometimes get taken aback when folks start clapping in time with the music, but it's all good.

I liked M-C-ing . . .
The only thing I didn't like about it all was setting up the mics and amps and cables & stands and such . . .
