I played in band that played in drop D for about a month and I couldn't take it. It's weird but the tone starts to work on my nerves and everything is in the wrong place. I just can't get into it but I will admit that is a weakness of mine.

So rather then point out my shortcomings I bash it any chance I get.

I like that tuning. "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" is in that, so is Hemorrhage by Fuel. Guns and Roses strictly uses it I notice and Metallica does ever since they got passed the Black Album into the Load and Reload era.

Cool tuning. I also play in C and C# tuning, as well as Drop D.
