Hello again to all! I have another question for you guys. What is (are) your favorite guitar technique(s)? Here are mine:

1. Heavy distortion (high gain) slide up the guitar neck.
2. Unison bending (And playing each note indidually in that bend).
3. Butterfly vibrato.

Alright, well I will leave it up to all of you now.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

Are Bassist's allowed?
I keep it clean for the most part, hammer-ons and pulloff's are a big part of my techniques.
For effects i love a wah or auto-wah. I have a Funk Machine original from the 70's around here someplace (it's similar to a Mutron).
I can dirty it up with the tube pre sections on my amps.

I didn't put anything in the poll, i'll leave that to the skinny stringers.

Lol. Yes, bassist are welcome! I appreciate the reply Franny. *Thumbs up* I like Wah-Wah on a bass, ever since I heard Cliff Burton use it on Orion.

My favorite 'effect' is the pure sound of an acoustic guitar.
So many people rely on effects nowadays to sound good, that playing rock songs on an acoustic without ANY effects . . . - IS an effect, nowadays!
:)
But, amped and in public, I use a very slight echo, and a barely noticeable chorus to fill out the sound.
Unlike other effects, this will not cover up or distract one from any mistakes or flubs I make. It forces me to get better . . . .

Clean playing styles on guitar proves real masters of the instrument. If you can play a solo clean and smooth without any covering effects, you have done pretty well. It is so easy to damage a piece when it is distorted without people realizing it. Do it clean and they will know, so yeah.

I love chorus, so when I get my Line 6 for Christmas, I am locking into it! Lol. But I must admit, it is fun to play on an acoustic and add in mutes in between chords and cool strumming patterns.

I'm a pretty big pfan of delay..
Not to mention, speaking of making mistakes..it can have the effect of multiplying your bad note...as it trails off into the abyss...
