Guitar lesson scam ... BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

On the internet it states that guitar lesson scams are becoming more readily happening now. I know i almost fell victim to one but the bank stopped it in time before it processed through.
The scenario:
person contacts you via a website or email i.e. bandmix.ca and says that he/she has a friend and would like guitar lessons for son/daughter. Sounds good right, wrong! the problem once you start contacting this person is that the person in question is abroad but sending their child to your location for the duration of the lessons and sending you the money upfront for the duartion of the lessons. But here is the kicker they send you excess for "other expenses i.e nanny,transportation,etc." then request for you to cash the cheque or money order and send the monies to this person keeping your agreed amount.
If you have been scammed like this or know someone that has been scammed like this contact your local authorities they can/will do something.
