I am looking for those willing to donate the time to play instruments like guitar, electric guitar, piano, fillin sounds, so I can begin singing to my own material and begin uploading my newest material.

If anyone is interested please click my profile to email me.

P.S. Also looking for other co-writers also by the way...

Thank-you!

(GRRRRRR ioeruakl;dfvna;klsvn;klawndvloaniwm Aaaaaa-RRRrrrrooooooo)

Now that that is over. Are you listening to yourself?

I am biting my tongue as I would love to move you to the "over the coals" position.

I just keep concentrating on, "if you don't have something nice to say>....".

That just isn't making any sense... I said nice things

Beating the drum of "god's music", hmm??

I think we discussed this on a different thread.

I won't digress.

Hey, Captain Scott, give the lady a break, man.
.
She's looking for like-minded individuals to make some music, and tha's what this site is all about . . . .
.
She's for real, she'll probably succeed, and you're just busting on her . . .

If you say so, ok.

If you read any of the other posts, you know I think it is a cop out to label music in that way. (opinion) And I think her methods are pathetic to boot.

She grinds my guts. (and I am done speaking of this)

No offense maam, just honest.

Rythm man Thanks for the back up support.

Melanie,
You said, " . . .I really like your music as well! Great guitar and singing style, Rhythm man!
I am curious which part you took part in - it's all great sounding! "
.
Thanks. :)
I did everthing but sing.
I wrote the songs, played guitar, bass, did the recording.
On "Folks I Knew (If You Catch Me Crying)," I gave Julie "Jazz" the melody, and encouraged her to do back-up vocals both ascending and descending.
She's from Australia. By the way, she was a semi-finalist in "Australian Idol,' which is like American idol.

Rythm man you have true talent indeed!

Melanie .... to offer a tad bit of advice ..... I would suggest for you to be careful as to which songs you choose to sing.... what I mean is.... its very important to find a song that best fits your voice. Not always an easy task. I'm sure you've heard it said before .... song selection is the key... and it really is. Play around with different genres of music ... you just might be surprised what you may find interesting and comfortable to work with.

Also .... I don't think most musicians will fault you for having a lousy mic ... but rather pat you on the back for your effort just the same... I would offer that maybe taking that extra step to ensure there isn't any negative background noise ... such as children crying ..... would work in your favor as well in the feedback department from others.

That being said .... I wish you the best of luck ... and hope you don't give up on playing around in this crazy world of music. Lots to experience and explore.... Just remember to always try to keep it fun.

Melanie,
Ok, where do i start? I do hope though, that you are reading this.
What Capt. Scot did and said was "brutally honest" though his demeanor and delivery wasn't as courteous as it could have been.
A few things:
#1 you have failed...yes Melanie...failed. You took "Capt. Scots" problem, and it WAS or IS his problem; 'not yours'. But by deleting your entire account...you admitted and accepted defeat, basically saying "he is right"...and turned it into YOUR problem.
#2 Thank God the reality of how rough being told you're not so good came over an anonymous Internet forum; as this was nothing compared to being Booed off a stage in front of friends and family...you can't just delete yourself then...if you know what i mean.
#3 count this as a Blessing and learn from it. Look inward on yourself and try to see what he saw in your written words and your music. Rethink of how YOU perceive your music (honestly evaluate yourself). We all at one time or another been told by friends or family that we were "GREAT", "sound awesome", and all other sorts of Praise...when in reality what they honestly meant was encouragement rather than hurt our feelings.

So, please do log back on...stand up to the nay sayers...keep trudging along and struggling till you do get it.
We all have stories of a time or times where we just wanted to scream..."I suck...i'll never be able to get this" and just quit...but guess what? ...we're here because we didn't.
