lol I don't know if this is correct, but with wma files, I hit rename and just type, " songname.mp3 "

And it has worked for me. I think .wma files are very similar to a mp3, else it is pure luck. (better to be lucky than good) lol

Hey JW, google MusicMatch 10 and follow the links. This is an older piece of software but works great for conversions. Of course there's tons of other free utilities out there but this works for me.

I use this. Works very well and is free.

Q. Is the Switch Converter really free?

Yes, we offer a free version of Switch. Switch Plus requires the purchase of a license. Using the Plus version allows you to do things like save to extra file formats (see the Switch help documentation for further details) and utilise the Command Line Tool. Get Switch Plus here.

The free version of Switch also has the additional features of Switch Plus enabled for a 14-day free trial after the software is first installed. If you choose not to purchase the Switch Plus license upgrade at the end of the free trial period, the advanced features will be disabled but the standard Switch features will continue to work.

I'll have to try this one out. Thanks Wegman!

Here's what I've been using lately, also free...

I also use it to change file size. You can change the frequency as well as the bit rate, to reduce file size. And of course, it converts wav, mp3, ogg, wma and vox, back and forth between formats.

Cool. Glad it worked out for you.

I have been using that program for some time and it does a fine job. The nice thing is it doesn't mangle the file like some converters do.

Yea check it out. I am very pleased with it. Very easy to use, does alot of formats and doesn't totally kill the file.
