Well if that dude left on account of me in the US forum...uh...thats just lame.
If it was that easy he has no business in the music field.
I can't imagine what he'd do if someone told him they didn't like his music in person (which i didn't do btw) just called him on the word "funk"
if this was a dirty sock forum, a suicide forum, a body odor forum or any other type of forum, then yes, funk would mean something different.
In a music context, funk means one thing; and not something the writer perceives it to be and the reader has to guess at.
I will say, it had to be something underlying that i hit on.

Seattle sound/grunge...where does funk fit?

I don't know if you can draw a direct connection here, but I notice he left right after someone lambasted him for having no music of his own posted here or at his MySpace.

Cause and effect? Who knows. But I sort of stopped the contact with him when he started lauding neonaziism. Homey don't play that tune.

Heh heh, I remember that thread, it devolved into about as nasty as a thread can get. I thought he was a pretty good guy till then.

Just remember right or wrong, everyone has the right to speak their own, individual piece.

You don't have to agree with it, just have to be able to read it and say "that's his opinion" and let it all roll off.

Yeah, everyone has a right to an opinion...but not my agreement with or respect for it. People miss that part alot.
