Exactly! It's $12.95 for 1 month of premium membership, $34 for 3 months. If you're seeking band members, and see some possible matches, then spring for it and contact them.

Come on it's like 30 dollars, I think, and they'll bargain

Well, with the advent of the Internet, webcams, and streaming social media, now you can get high and jam with not only friends but friends of friends as well as a bunch of trolls that are just looking in to see if you are porn.

I look forward to your fusion band: The Killer Snack Crackers (or is it Crack Snackers?)

Simple. Put your number in your description or anywhere in your profile. Or do as I have done and insert an email address. Been a member since February and didn't get any responses. Since providing a way to contact me I have had 5 responses. I am now involved with 2 bands and one two man combo with another on the horizon. Best of luck.

Love,
Grampa Billy

Is that a band name or a genre now? Sounds exciting when you put it that way.

That only works for a short while - eventually Admin (or their bot software) finds your number/email and deletes it from your profile - only way to know this is to look at your profile when not signed in to BM, as it will still look like its there when you edit your profile.

Putting a band together of mercenaries only works if money is involved. Choosing random people from an internet site is more than a crapshoot, because there are so many different expectations for jamming. I have communicated with a lot of locals (within an hour's drive) through this site, but it's really tough to find the right situation that works for everybody involved.

You have to keep working it and eventually someone knows someone else who might have a friend looking that would work out for a little while after a lot of practice.

Do I sound bitter? haha. I'm not, just realistic. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

.

This is the best statement so far about this whole process. Makes you wonder how bands got together in the early days by just word of mouth, postings, and newspaper ads, etc. Maybe technology is making this harder which seems ironic. Anyway, I started on this site mid to late 30's. Still not in a regular band and now early 40's. I have all but given up. One thing to note also; everyone plays guitar. If you play bass or drums, your chances of landing in a good spot go up dramatically. P.S. I am a metal guitar player in the Philly area. If someone wants to jam - please hit me up. - Rick

Rick - you might look at putting some more substance in your profile. You have no audio samples, no video, one 'bedroom picture'. No real details on the kind of music you want to play, your experience, etc.

And good luck even with substance added. Still better luck for me with either Craigslist or the old ways of networking.
