First post here so forgive me if this is in the wrong forum. I generally like bandmix so far but it's so frustrating when you send people a message to inquire whether they have interest in joining or auditioning for a band most of them don't even bother to send a reply. I get it not everyone wants to do the same things I do musically. But at least have the common courtesy to reply and say thanks but not interested.

It helps if you look at the date they last visited. Many people setup an account and don't touch it again for months...
Welcome to the Real World of Musicians! First thing you can do is get some more information on your profile - audio examples, or videos, more information on the the type of music you're trying to do. Is the description accurate- you want a singer for just a few songs per set? That's probably going to be a tough position to fill.
When sending a message to someone on BM, its important to see the 'last active' date - if it shows more than a month, they may not have been here in a long time. They may also have their settings so that they don't get an email notice. Or, they may just be impolite idiots that don't respond, in which case, you don't want them in a band anyway! Good luck with your search. Typical response rate is 1/20.

Hi! I'm new to Bandmix for similar reasons, to find local people who are interested in playing, collaborating, & developing a sense of community in my hometown (Gainesville, FL). There's a pretty strong scene for the size town it is, but it's been impossible finding people to jam with, especially when they don't even know how much I suck at playing. It's a college town and I'm an old geezer but Jeeze gimme a chance to bomb at least
Morbassa, GuitarMike, Zenith Hammer, Thanks for the good info and reasonable responses. If the whole board is like you guys then I've found something worthwhile!
