Well, the other shoe finally dropped.

The drummer quit the band.

He apparently just felt like he wasn't up to it.

This increases my respect for him a very little bit. Not enough that I would consider him for any other drumming gig, but it shows that he's not a complete idiot.

Well that eliminates your main problem, but starts a new one - finding a drummer who meets the band's requirements. Good luck!

Well, there's good news on that front as well. We had a guy audition last night and he was better on the songs than the old guy. The auditioning drummer got the list of songs the day before.

All I'm saying is, this guy might be a little bit better drummer than the guy we've been dealing with so far.
