Posted: Fri Mar 02, 2018 8:05 pmi just picked up a Electro-Voice S-1503 3 way full range spkr cab for $19! it's got a 15", a vented 6.5" midrange, and a tweeter.
at $19, thought this would be good to have as third or fourth string bass cab backup, and to use as a workshop spkr for listening to tunes.
i tried it out playing my six string WASHBURN XB600 bass using my little class D ASHDOWN MI 550 to power it. handled all the low stuff on my B string just fine.....got up way high on the C string and it rings clear as a bell!
playing some cds thru it now in the shop and it really does sound pretty decent. but, man-oh-man...this fuc#er weighs 105 lbs...YIKES!
