Thanks for posting that Ted. Almost as good as you.
I remember them at the coliseum here in NY.
The opening band totally blew it because they didn't understand the sound system.... So much pong bouncing around a big area. 4 massive speaker columns in the area. Great band but they sounded bad.
ELP... Totally different.
The difference was their sound person had complete control of the sound . Wow what a terrific show.

Soundboard recording, I imagine the sound was pretty reverby/echoey in that empty stadium.

That was excellent
Most ELP I ever listened to, didn't seem like they needed the bass player much.
Did you see the left hand of that piano player! Maybe the bass player sings?
I loved that Yamaha piano, I saw one like it for sell in Branson, he was a retired, old piano player,
who had moved to Branson and was selling at least 25 pianos, he said that Yamaha was rare,
he thought there was only 10 or 15 in the whole world, he had a hard time getting $3000 for it
But that ELP guy put that Yamaha thru some of its works

Hey Scmedd...... I didn't think the piano player needed the drummer or the guitar player
I could have layed down a lot heavier backing track incorporating more dynamics and melody
The piano player should never show a stack of pianos to the crowd
He should set them up to the side of the stage so he's one with the band and the crowd and the video
