I asked a few people to join me for a some songs last night - drummer and bass player and a singer.
Now I remember why I don't want to continue with the 'full band' thing. Drum kits are just too loud for small set-up areas/clubs/bars. You end up being loud all over to compensate. It was fun, but not what I want to do going forward.
With my current band, even when everyone's going at full song, I can still hear my acoustic guitar and vocals acoustically (not just through the PA )- that's the difference.
