delete the zombie profiles that have been inactive for a year or more.

send out a reminder once a year to get members to update their info in their profile (no longer seeking a band, switched from a band to a musician, etc)

get rid of the ridonculous default list of instruments played/ seeking (bagpipes, accordion, dobro, zither.....)

lower the price to the point where premium members aren't outnumbered a hundred to one by freeloaders (like me! )

So what's next? Remove the profiles of Vampires, Goolies, Werewolves and the walking dead?

Moderate all newcomers to the forums. They're given a certain set number of posts before they can post freely. Would get rid of 100% of the spammers.

not banning these instruments from being searched or promoted, Slacker.
this is the actual default list of instruments. I only had to look at 2 profiles in the Phoenix area to find this.

Accordion, Acoustic Guitar, Background Singer, Bagpipes, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Cello, Clarinet, DJ, Dobro, Electronic Music, Fiddle, Flute, Harmonica, Harp, Mandolin, Other, Other Percussion, Piano, Saxophone, Steel guitar, Trombone, Trumpet, Ukulele, Upright bass, Violin, Vocalist - Alto, Vocalist - Baritone, Vocalist - Bass, Vocalist - Soprano, Vocalist - Tenor.

this screams NOT SERIOUS ABOUT MUSIC!

I would keep better monitoring of irrelevant and disrespectful comments that have turned our chatrooms and topics into troll havens for non members that should be banned from BM all together. Those who come here to find musicians have to scroll thru post after post of nonsense, lies and downgrading. It's embarrassing and totally unnecessary.

Anyone wanting to hire us can decline simply by looking around. Some of us even have the nerve to snub some ads for gigs. The BM brand is in danger of losing its credibility. They should fix this now, before no one comes here to shop or connect.

How soon can you pack you're bags and get the hell out.

I would like to see several regional potluck dinner/festivals sponsored, and maybe BandMix could charge a relatively inexpensive gate fee of $6.00 for the 2/3 day "festiva"l.. say, one in Boston, one in Philly, one in Nashville, one in Kansas City.. you get the picture..this would be the ultimate method for actually meeting many musicians fast, and could sit around and jam awhile to see who is fake and who is the real deal

have these BandMix sponsored festivals/potluck dinners scattered throughout the U.S. with none being more than a couple hundred miles away for everybody..

that depends willie,? if you want it to be politically correct? , well yes, these would have to be included..

but, I am not a believer in "politically correct" doctrines.. so leave out the LGBT stuff the drugs, etc. at the gate, what you do in your SUV is your concern and your concern only..
