When it started out--w/ that drum roll--I thought you were gonna bust out into Hawaii 5-0. That'd be kinda cool: the theme of 5-0 encapsulating 5 mins. of improv.

I was in a band once that did that sort of thing. We'd play X number bars of theme songs from TV shows and get folks to call out what shows they were from; first correct call got a free round of drinks. Made folks laugh and got 'em engaged. Can't remember if it was Roy Blount or Dave Barry who pointed out that while about 40 percent of folks know the words to the Star Spangled Banner, almost everyone knows The Beverly Hillbillies and Gilligan's Island. This is what passes for culture...

yeah, jook!

only beef i have is you taking a few secs to catch up to the BbMaj7 changeup...(same troublespot as in the other version!)

very cool concept and direction you took w this one. points. 8)

i think my favorite part might just be the long sustained "Day In the Life" -like chord at the end.

a lot of people don't know this, but we brought in 5 basses from all over the Abbey Rd studio and then had everyone hit that big harmonics chord at the end. we did have to bring up the faders to have it sustain that long!

I like the vibe a lot and it grabs you're attention too see what happens next. My only concern is before the breakdown and bridge, nothing really speaks to me that its coming..........it kind of just happens.

Great musicians both of you...........but you already knew that.

"edit"
did the fret board start smoking or catch on fire.....holy speed demon jookman
