the more I listen to iot, the more I dis-agree with Gear Box saying it is Mr. Clean tone..sounds like I might re-mix it with another CHEESY tone :D

Wow, you're still using Gearbox? What's your computer running - Windows ME? Line6 hasn't supported GB in many years. There's a free version of PodFarm you can download to replace it, but you will lose any of your presets.
Since I stopped using DI for electric guitar, and started miking an amp, I like my guitar sound much better. It's the feedback of guitar pickup-speaker that really seems to enhance it, as well as the dynamics (there are none in GB - take a look at the waveform, no matter how hard or soft you play, the amplitude stays the same)

Mike, if a guy had $300.00 laying around, and wanted to upgrade his recording studio, what in your opinion would a guy get the best bang for his buck? I heard firewire is better than USB but is that just hype? to buy a firewire interface is around 400$ ? Pre-Sonus Focusrite? if the improvement would be barely discernible I think I would stick with this older stuff..BTW I heard Gearbox is discontinued as far as new sounds being presented and no updates either
