I'm at work, so can't see who the first video points to ...

Check out Prairie Prince - Tubes and Todd Rundgren drummer.
Neal Peart?
Alan White did pretty good taking over in Yes for Bruford.
Carl Palmer (ELP) is still touring with his own band.

Thanks Dayne. We went to sleep. It's kinda like getting rain or flooding where you live.

My favorite drummer I guess would be Dale Crover of the Melvins, who I get to see play drums twice a year from about 10 - 20 feet away, so I got no complaints.

I'm as simple as it gets... Drum roll please... I love Charlie Watts! And he plays for one of the greatest Rock n Roll bands since R&R existed. At least they were in the early 70's! :P
I'd love to play with that dude!
Uhhhh me on the guitar him on the skins!

When the Eagles were recording their first album The Eagles, Don Henley told producer Glyn Johns he wanted his drums to sound like Bonham.... Johns replied "then play them like Bonham"
Bonham was badazz... he set the bar for sound and power.

At some point, it seems talent is relative and it becomes more about preference. I prefer Bozio because he can play with the top drummers in so many genres.

I prefer the rock styling of Bonham over any other drummer...but I've seen him playing drunk where he was a mere mortal. Anyone who played with Zappa was not afforded slack for foolishness with drugs or alcohol so Bozio was/is totally straight. Though I prefer Bonham, there are things Bozio does that Bonham simply could not pull off.

So yea, we're talking preferences once a drummer gets to a certain level of proficiency. Yet even on a strictly objective judgement of talent, Bozio seems to be in rarified air.

Me too!

I certainly like more Rolling Stones song than Bozio songs. I often ask drummers in a recording session "What would Charlie Watts do?"
