Co-hosting with a guy from my songwriting group, good pay for an OM, at the pub at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Nashua - not the usual 'dive bar'!
This will be a once-a-month thing, if all goes well. A little music income coming in never hurts. I was aked by a friend to cohost last night with him, but it was too last-minute for me.

Have fun Mike!

Yeah, and those OMs I avoid. Mine are always run 'fair and square' - go in order of sign-up, 3 songs each to start out with; if there's time, start a second round. I bring some hand percussion, always make sure the sound is good, talk to everyone, take photos of all performers and post on facebook.

A good thing about playing at most open mics - no pressure. You can relax and enjoy yourself, talk with everyone - because you're not being paid to perform. When I'm gigging, I don't drink (except water) but at an open mic, I have a few beers.
